Ms Alex

Miss Alex has been dancing as long as she can remember from her very first tutu to travelling most weekends

to perform and compete in competitions and championships throughout the UK. She began teaching dance alongside her academic studies and went on to complete her IDTA teaching qualification. Miss Alex then moved away from the teaching side of things to peruse a career in performing arts, currently training in Musical Theatre at the institute of the arts Barcelona.She is super excited to be able to go back to teaching and bring her joy of dance to the younger generations here in Barcelona

Ms Eva

Teacher

EVA is originally from Alicante, Spain where she began her dance training with Hazel Hiles and Liz Burr and took

several ballet and modern dance exams. She moved to New York City at the age of 15 to attend Joffrey Ballet School where she performed works by George Balanchine, Robert Ray, Earl Mosley and Larisa Calero among others. Later on she received her BFA in dance from NJCU. Eva started teaching at the Kennedy Dancers teaching students of all different ages and was also a part of the Kennedy Dancers Repertory Company for two seasons. While she was still in New York, Eva also taught at Cobble Hill Ballet, and danced with More than Music Entertainment. She has been a part of a number of music videos and modeled for Spray ground and Swan Collection by Rosa María Sanchís. She recently moved back to Spain to be closer to her family and is thrilled to be able to share her passion for dance with the students at Lydia School of Dance

Ms Fernanda

Teacher

Miss Fernanda is a former professional ballet dancer in both classical and contemporary styles, having honed

her skills under Carmina Ocaña in Madrid, Spain. She has performed in various classical dance productions. She has been teaching dance lessons for 7 years. At the moment, she enjoys working both as a ballet teacher and as a clinical psychologist, specializing in childhood development. Proficient in English and Spanish, she also possesses a basic understanding of Portuguese.

Ms Julia

Ms Julia has been dancing since she was 5 and hasn’t stopped since. At 11 she decided to focus more on ballet

and fell in love with the whole dance world. Ms Julia has an awesome awesome experience of living in Canada for six months. Where she continued her dance studies, and delved into the English language.Ms Julia is very grateful for the learning opportunity of assisting the Ballet teacher at Lydia School of Dance. where she is growing in lots of ways and it is making her a better dancer too. It is an absolute pleasure to teach the little ballerinas and see them grow at every step they take.

Ms Patrícia

Patrícia, a passionate Portuguese dancer and teacher, has developed expertise in numerous dance genres such as

contemporary dance, creative movement, classical dance, and jazz.

Her journey in dance began at the age of 3, igniting her lifelong passion for the art form. At 17, Patrícia pursued her passion for dance by relocating to Lisbon. Three years later, she proudly graduated from the Escola Superior de Dança, Lisboa, earning a BA (Hons) in Dance. A pivotal semester abroad in Finland, courtesy of the Erasmus + Programme, enriched her knowledge and skills during five immersive months of dance study.

Her professional journey began with an internship at the Institute of the Arts Barcelona in Sitges, marking her entry into the professional dance world.

Complementing her education, she attained a Postgraduate Degree in Performing Arts and Education from Institut del Teatre, Barcelona, solidifying her expertise in the field.

As a dance educator, Patrícia’s journey encapsulates a diverse spectrum. From nurturing the tender steps of young children, introducing them to the enchanting world of dance, to mentoring and training aspiring professionals at advanced levels.

Ms Sofia

Ms Sofia is a graduate at the National University of Arts with a dance teaching degree, specialized

in pedagogy, ballet and modern dance. With 5 years of experience, She has been working with children from 2 to 12 years old, teaching ballet, modern dance, and other techniques. She has lots of experience in choreographing shows and preparing students for exams. She is very excited to start her new role at Lydia School of dance and is excited to pass on her knowledge and skills to the younger generation.

Ms Yuleisy

Ever since Ms Yuleisy was a young girl she has always been fascinated by Ballet.

She graduated as a dancer and teacher of classical Ballet at the “ Fernando Alonso” national school of Ballet in Havana, Cuba. During a long career as a teacher, she taught Ballet, Pointe, Character Dances and Repertoire classes at the Vocational Art School in Cuba (2009-2013). In 2014-2016 she took part as a dancer, of the “Beauty Crown Theater Center Company”, inHainan, China.In 2015 she participated as a dancer in “Miss World Final 2015”, Sanya, China. From 2018-2023 she worked as a Ballet, Character Dance teacher, choreographer and prepared students for Ballet exams following the British syllabus, in Beijing, China. Ms Yuleisy has worked in various countries with students of all ages and level with a passion for the Ballet & the art of teaching
